State Minister for Civil Aviation and Tourism M Rashiduzzaman Millat has been promoted to a full cabinet minister.
He took his oath at Bangabhaban in Dhaka during an evening cabinet reshuffle and expansion led by President Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, according to local media reports.
M Rashiduzzaman Millat was elevated from State Minister to full Minister of Civil Aviation and Tourism.
He had served in the ministry since the beginning of the BNP-led government under Prime Minister Tarique Rahman.
The government added six new members to the cabinet on Friday.
The new ministers took their oaths at Bangabhaban in Dhaka at around 7:45 p.m. President Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir administered the oaths. He had earlier taken oath as Bangladesh’s 23rd president.
