Hospitality Exchange 2026 brought together Singapore’s hospitality leaders to discuss AI, wellness, workforce transformation and future guest experiences.
Hospitality Exchange 2026 concluded its third edition in Singapore, bringing together more than 300 hotel owners, operators, technology partners and government stakeholders to discuss the future direction of the hospitality sector.
Organised by the Singapore Hotel Association (SHA), the annual conference was held under the theme “Hospitality the Next Bound” and focused on industry transformation, with discussions covering artificial intelligence, wellness, workforce development and the future of guest experiences.
The event was attended by Guest-of-Honour Ms Gan Siow Huang, Minister of State for the Ministry of Trade and Industry and Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Supporting partners included the Singapore Tourism Board (STB) and the Skills and Workforce Development Agency (SWDA).
During the opening address, SHA President Mr Kenneth Li highlighted the need for hotels to adapt to changing traveller expectations and a rapidly evolving tourism environment. He noted that Hospitality Exchange was created to encourage industry dialogue and support hotels in developing new approaches to remain competitive.
Ms Gan Siow Huang highlighted Singapore’s tourism performance, noting that the country welcomed 9.8 million international visitors in the first half of 2026 and recorded S$8.6 billion in tourism receipts in the first quarter. However, she also pointed to challenges including moderating global growth, geopolitical uncertainty and increasingly demanding travellers.
As part of Singapore’s Tourism 2040 vision, Ms Gan called on hotels to continue developing new visitor experiences. She referred to examples including Swissôtel The Stamford’s Disney-themed dining concept at SKAI restaurant and Changi Airport Group’s Off-Airport Check-In service for Singapore Airlines travellers staying at selected hotels.
She also announced that from 1 November 2026, hotels will have access to a new hotel-specific Digital Concierge category under Enterprise Singapore’s EDGE for Productivity scheme. In addition, STB and SHA will introduce service excellence training programmes supported by quality assurance institutions.

During the conference, the Workforce Transformation Award was presented to Hilton International Asia Pacific. The award, jointly presented by SWDA and SHA, recognised the company’s initiatives in job redesign, reskilling and human capital development.
The programme featured international speakers and industry leaders discussing topics including hospitality in the age of AI, technology innovation across hotel segments, hospitality design trends, food and beverage experiences, travel trends, wellness, digital marketing and future hospitality models.
