The United Tourism Stakeholders Society of Bangladesh (UTSSOB) is organizing a special children’s painting competition titled “Children’s Colorful Canvas – World Tourism Day 2026” to celebrate World Tourism Day 2026 and encourage young minds to explore the beauty, diversity and cultural richness of Bangladesh and the world through art.
The painting competition will be held on Saturday, 26 September 2026, at Days Hotel Dhaka, Baridhara Diplomatic Zone, Dhaka. Students from Class 6 to Class 10 will participate in the competition.
The event will conclude with a Prize-Giving Ceremony at 11:30 AM, where H.E. U Kyaw Soe Moe, Ambassador of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar to Bangladesh, has been invited as the Chief Guest and will present prizes to the winners.
The initiative is designed to connect children, creativity, culture and tourism, giving young participants an opportunity to express their imagination and understanding of destinations, nature, heritage and travel through colourful artwork.
UTSSOB believes that introducing children to tourism and cultural heritage at an early age can help nurture greater appreciation for Bangladesh’s natural beauty, historical heritage and diverse cultural traditions, while also encouraging responsible and meaningful tourism in the future.
Participants are required to bring their own drawing and colouring materials.
The programme is being arranged by UTSSOB as part of its broader commitment to promoting tourism awareness, cultural values, creativity and meaningful engagement among different sections of society.
