The United Tourism Stakeholders Society of Bangladesh (UTSSOB) Organised today afternoon a children’s art competition titled “Children’s Colorful Canvas – World Tourism Day 2026” at Days Hotel Dhaka in Baridhara Diplomatic Zone.
Students from Classes 6 to 10 participated in the competition, showcasing their creativity through artworks inspired by tourism, nature, destinations, culture and heritage.
The competition concluded with a prize-giving ceremony, where H.E. U Kyaw Soe Moe, Ambassador of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar to Bangladesh, attended as the chief guest and handed over prizes to the winners.
Speaking at the programme, U Kyaw Soe Moe congratulated the winners and participants and encouraged the children to continue developing their creativity. He appreciated the initiative for connecting children with art, culture, heritage and tourism.
H. M. Hakim Ali, president of UTSSOB, was also present at the programme.
Hakim Ali said engaging children with tourism and cultural heritage from an early age can help develop greater appreciation for Bangladesh’s natural beauty, historical heritage and diverse cultural traditions.
He also emphasised the importance of encouraging creativity and awareness of responsible and meaningful tourism among the younger generation.
The initiative aimed to encourage children to explore tourism, cultural heritage and the natural beauty of Bangladesh and the world through art.
The organisers congratulated the winners and participants and thanked their parents and teachers for their support.
