Zipline Maldives, the country’s first island-to-island zipline, has received international
recognition after being awarded the Global Excellence Award for “World’s Most Beautiful
Zipline” at the Global Brand Awards held at Temple Trees (Official Residence of the Prime
Minister of Sri Lanka), Sri Lanka.
Operated by Osvana Group Pvt Ltd, Zipline Maldives connects Maafushi with Vahmaafushi Picnic
Island across a spectacular 428-metre route over the turquoise waters of the Maldives.
The award recognises the attraction’s unique combination of adventure, natural beauty and tourism
innovation, positioning Zipline Maldives as a distinctive new experience within the Maldives’ tourism
landscape.
Unlike a traditional zipline experience, Zipline Maldives takes guests from one island to another while
offering uninterrupted views of the Indian Ocean, transforming the journey itself into a memorable
Maldivian experience.

The award was presented by His Excellency Maithripala Sirisena, the Seventh President of Sri Lanka,
during the Global Brand Awards ceremony.
“This recognition is a proud achievement not only for Zipline Maldives, but for the Maldives as a
destination. We wanted to create an experience that allows visitors to see and experience the beauty
of our islands from an entirely different perspective.
This award belongs to our team, the people of Maafushi, our partners and everyone who supported
us in bringing this vision to life. We hope Zipline Maldives will continue to contribute to the growth of
experience-led tourism and become one of the must-visit attractions for travellers visiting the
Maldives.” Said by Ibrahim Asim, CEO of Osvana Group Pvt Ltd.
The recognition comes as the Maldives continues to diversify its tourism offering beyond traditional
resort experiences, with increasing emphasis on adventure, local island tourism and memorable
destination experiences.
Zipline Maldives aims to contribute to this evolution by showcasing the country’s natural environment
through an attraction that combines adventure with one of the Maldives’ most iconic features: its
islands and crystal-clear waters.
