Emirates, in collaboration with destination management company Kuoni Tumlare, hosted a group of travel industry partners from Singapore on a four-day familiarisation trip to Dubai. The programme aimed to strengthen destination knowledge among travel agents and tour operators while highlighting Dubai’s tourism offering.

The initiative brought together representatives from leading Singapore travel agencies and tour operators. Participants explored Dubai’s leisure attractions, cultural heritage and hospitality experiences while gaining insights into Emirates’ operations and Dubai’s role as an international aviation hub.

Showcasing Dubai’s tourism experiences

The familiarisation programme included visits to some of Dubai’s key attractions, including Dubai Marina, Palm Jumeirah, Atlantis The Palm, Burj Al Arab, Madinat Jumeirah, Downtown Dubai, Burj Khalifa and Dubai Mall.

The itinerary showcased Dubai’s combination of modern architecture, luxury experiences, family attractions and cultural landmarks. Participants also visited Sky Views Dubai, including the Glass Slide experience, and experienced Emirati and Middle Eastern cuisine through curated dining activities.

The programme also featured a full-day visit to Abu Dhabi.  Travel partners explored the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, Qasr Al Watan Presidential Palace, Abu Dhabi Corniche and attractions on Yas Island, including Ferrari World and Yas Marina Circuit.

A key part of the programme was a visit to the Emirates Crew Training Centre. Participants learned about the airline’s cabin crew training programmes and operational standards.

The behind-the-scenes experience provided travel partners with further insight into Emirates’ focus on safety, service and innovation.

“Singapore remains one of Emirates’ most important markets in Southeast Asia, and last year we proudly marked 35 years of operations in the country. Over the decades, we have witnessed strong and enduring connections between Singapore and the UAE, with both destinations sharing a global outlook while remaining deeply rooted in their unique cultures, heritage and traditions. Through this familiarisation trip, we aim to deepen our engagement with the market and build on the strong momentum in travel between Singapore and Dubai. By experiencing the destination firsthand, our partners are better equipped to showcase the breadth of experiences available across Dubai and the UAE, helping to inspire more travellers to explore everything we have to offer,” said Rashed Alfajeer, Emirates’ Country Manager for Singapore and Brunei.

“Dubai continues to resonate strongly with Singapore travellers, offering a unique blend of modern attractions, rich cultural heritage, and year-round experiences for a wide range of travel preferences. Beyond its appeal as a destination in its own right, Dubai also serves as an important gateway connecting travellers from Singapore to Europe, Americas and Africa. Through programmes such as this, our travel partners gain firsthand knowledge and deeper insights into the visitor experience, enabling them to create more meaningful and compelling travel itineraries for their customers. We are pleased to partner with Emirates in supporting continued growth in tourism between the two markets,” added Mr Reto Kaufmann, Chief Marketing Officer and Senior Vice President for Southeast and South Asia, Kuoni Tumlare.
