easyJet launches new routes from Cornwall Airport

easyJet has expanded its operations at Cornwall Airport Newquay with the launch of a new summer route to London Gatwick and the announcement of its first-ever international service to Geneva, Switzerland.

The London Gatwick route commenced on 23 June and will operate twice weekly on Tuesdays and Saturdays throughout the summer, offering fares starting at £43.99. This service aims to enhance domestic connectivity and support Cornwall’s  tourism sector during the peak season.

The airline’s inaugural international route from Newquay will begin on 16 January 2027, providing a weekly Saturday service to Geneva until 27 February 2027. This new route is designed to cater to the high demand for direct access to ski resorts in the Alps, particularly during the February half-term. Fares for the Geneva service start at £37.99.

Nigel Scott, Commercial Director at Cornwall Airport Newquay, expressed enthusiasm about the new routes, stating, “It’s fantastic to see easyJet’s new London Gatwick service take to the skies, strengthening our London connectivity during the busy summer season and giving local passengers greater choice.” He also highlighted the significance of the Geneva route as a milestone for the airport.

Kevin Doyle, easyJet UK Country Manager, added, “We are delighted to have launched our summer route between London Gatwick and Newquay, and to be putting our first international service from the region on sale, with our winter route to Geneva.”

These developments underscore easyJet’s commitment to expanding regional connectivity and supporting Cornwall’s visitor economy. Seats for both routes are available for booking on easyJet’s website and mobile app.
