Thailand International Boat Show 2026 opened in Phuket, highlighting marine tourism’s growing role in Thailand’s high-value travel economy and reinforcing Phuket’s position as a regional yachting hub.

The Thailand International Boat Show 2026 officially opened at Phuket Yacht Haven Marina, bringing together senior government officials and leaders from the marine and tourism industries to mark the start of one of Southeast Asia’s key yachting and waterfront lifestyle events.

The event is supported by the Ministry of Tourism and Sports, the Tourism Authority of Thailand and Phuket Province, underscoring the increasing strategic importance of marine tourism within Thailand’s high-value travel economy.

The opening ceremony was presided over by Ms. Natthriya Thaweevong, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Tourism and Sports, alongside Mr. Nirat Phongsittithaworn, Governor of Phuket Province, with participation from representatives of local authorities and stakeholders from Thailand’s tourism and marine sectors.

Speaking at the opening, David Hayes, Chief Executive Officer of JAND Events, organisers of the Thailand International Boat Show, said: “Our focus has always been on delivering a high-quality event and a compelling experience for visitors. There is plenty to discover for families and first-time attendees, as well as serious buyers, and we expect thousands of domestic and international visitors over the four days. The show plays an essential role in supporting Thailand’s marine and lifestyle industries and serves as a timely opening to Phuket’s high season.”

Now in its fourth year, the Thailand International Boat Show runs from 15–18 January 2026 and is recognised as Thailand’s flagship platform for the marine industry and luxury waterfront living.

The event follows the Thailand Yachting Conference, held earlier in the week, which brought together industry leaders and policymakers to discuss the future of boating and marine tourism in Thailand. Together, the conference and the boat show highlight the sector’s growing relevance to the country’s tourism and investment strategy.

Visitors to the Thailand International Boat Show 2026 can explore a curated selection of luxury yachtsmarine serviceswaterfront real estate and premium lifestyle brands. The programme also includes marina-side dining, entertainment and social spaces designed for both networking and leisure.

As Thailand continues to attract high-spending travellers and yacht owners, the show contributes to strengthening the country’s reputation as a regional gateway for marine tourism, while supporting local businesses, marinas and hospitality operators in Phuket and across the wider destination.
