Tourism Malaysia Eastern Region hosts GRACE 2025 to recognise industry collaboration

Tourism Malaysia Eastern Region organised GRACE 2025 in Kuala Terengganu, recognising tourism partners and unveiling new travel packages supporting Visit Malaysia 2026.

Tourism Malaysia Eastern Region organised the GRACE 2025 programme, or Gathering of Recognition, Appreciation, Collaboration and Excellence 2025, at Hotel Paya Bunga in Kuala Terengganu on 20 December 2025.

The GRACE 2025 initiative aimed to recognise the role and contributions of tourism industry partners that have worked closely with Tourism Malaysia Eastern Region in developing, promoting and marketing Malaysia’s East Coast as a preferred holiday destination.

Malaysia’s tourism sector continues to record positive growth, with 28.2 million international visitor arrivals reported between January and August 2025. This represents an increase of 14.5% compared with the same period last year, reflecting collective industry collaboration, including the role of partners in the East Coast region.

Tourism Malaysia continues to work with a broad range of stakeholders in the East Coast, including travel and tour operators, accommodation providers, airlines, event organisers, non-governmental organisations and state authorities. Collaboration is carried out through workshops, engagement sessions, exhibitions, sales missions and tourism incentive programmes.

Through coordinated efforts in 2025, Tourism Malaysia Eastern Region and its partners developed 145 holiday packages, which were officially launched during GRACE 2025. The packages feature East Coast tourism products spanning ecotourism, adventure travel, gastronomy, culture and heritage, and special interest tourism.

These offerings are designed to serve both domestic and international markets and to support the Visit Malaysia 2026 campaign, which targets 47 million international visitor arrivals alongside growth in domestic tourism.

GRACE 2025 also included recognition for media representatives from print, broadcast and digital platforms, acknowledging their role in promoting the East Coast as a tourism destination and supporting Tourism Malaysia Eastern Region’s promotional initiatives for Visit Malaysia 2026.

The recognition presented at GRACE 2025 reflects Tourism Malaysia’s ongoing efforts to strengthen cooperation with industry stakeholders and to position Malaysia, including the East Coast region, within the global tourism market.
