Emirates has announced the launch of the world’s first electrically powered Premium Economy seat, featuring a full-height adjustable privacy screen, on its newly acquired Airbus A350 aircraft. This innovative seat design aims to enhance passenger comfort and privacy, allowing customers to control their personal space more effectively.
The new seats are arranged in a 2-3-2 configuration, with only 28 seats in the Premium Economy cabin, offering a spacious and comfortable experience. The electric privacy divider, a first in Premium Economy cabins globally, extends to the full height of the seat. Passengers can easily adjust the divider using seat controls, creating a private environment for dining, working, or relaxing.
In addition to privacy, the seats offer ergonomic comforts such as the UDream headrest by Safran Seats, crafted in leather for superior neck and head support. A manually deployable footrest further enhances relaxation. The seats also feature wireless charging, USB-C ports, and a tray table with an integrated phone holder, transforming personal devices into a second screen.
Passengers can enjoy Emirates’ award-winning in-flight entertainment on a 13.3-inch 4K HDR touchscreen. The new Airbus A350 aircraft also offer enhanced camera views, providing an immersive experience. The Premium Economy service includes gourmet meals served on fine china, accompanied by a selection of premium beverages.
Emirates continues to redefine Premium Economy, expanding the cabin across its fleet since its introduction in 2022. The airline’s commitment to innovation and customer comfort is evident in this latest offering, setting a new benchmark in the industry.
