Ultra Thailand 2027 will bring leading ultra-luxury travel buyers and brands to Bangkok, with Four Seasons Hotel Bangkok hosting the invitation-only event.
Ultra Thailand 2027 will take place in Bangkok from 20 to 24 June, marking the event’s first edition in Southeast Asia. Private Luxury Events will stage the invitation-only gathering at Four Seasons Hotel Bangkok at Chao Phraya River.
The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) will serve as headline partner. The event will bring together senior buyers and suppliers from the ultra-luxury travel sector.
Participants will include Family Offices, Executive and Personal Assistants, and celebrity agents representing ultra-high-net-worth clients. The programme will also connect them with luxury travel brands and specialist suppliers.
Bangkok selected for Ultra’s Southeast Asia debut
Ultra said Bangkok’s growing wealth base and luxury hospitality investment supported its choice of destination. The city’s ultra-high-net-worth population is forecast to grow by more than 50% by 2030.
Meanwhile, Knight Frank forecasts Thailand’s wider UHNW population to increase by 26% between 2026 and 2031.
Luxury hospitality investment has also continued across Bangkok. Recent and upcoming projects include Aman Nai Lert Bangkok and The Langham’s planned restoration of the historic Custom House.
At the same time, TAT has placed greater emphasis on high-value tourism. Its strategy increasingly targets travellers seeking personalised, exclusive and experience-led stays.
Ultra said these trends strengthen Bangkok’s relevance to the global luxury travel market.
Tourism strategy focuses on high-value travellers
Thailand will use Ultra Thailand 2027 to present its luxury tourism offer to an international buyer network. The destination will highlight wellness, gastronomy, culture and private travel experiences.
The programme will also create opportunities for Thai tourism businesses to engage directly with specialist luxury travel buyers.
Christy Kuplic, Managing Director of Private Luxury Events, said:
“Bangkok is entering an exciting period of growth at the very top end of luxury travel. The expansion of private wealth, continued investment from leading global hospitality brands and Thailand’s focus on high-value tourism make this an incredibly timely moment for Ultra to come to the destination.
Ultra has always been about bringing our community into the places shaping conversations in luxury travel. Bangkok has real momentum, and we are excited to experience that first-hand with our community and our headline partner Tourism Authority of Thailand in 2027.”
Thapanee Kiatphaibool, Governor of the Tourism Authority of Thailand, said:
Hotelbooking platform
“Ultra Thailand 2027 places Thailand into one of the world’s most influential ultra-luxury travel networks. TAT will use this platform to present a distinctive expression of Thai luxury built on personalised service, cultural depth and genuine human connection, spanning world-class wellness and gastronomy, private journeys, arts, living heritage and locally rooted experiences. The event will also create valuable business opportunities for Thai tourism partners while reinforcing Thailand’s position as a high-value and sustainable tourism destination.”
Four Seasons Bangkok to host the event
The 2027 gathering will take place at Four Seasons Hotel Bangkok at Chao Phraya River. The location will give international participants direct exposure to Bangkok’s luxury hospitality market.
Thailand’s culture of hospitality will also form part of the event narrative. Organisers highlighted the concept of nam jai, which reflects generosity, warmth and human connection.
The Ultra buyer community focuses on clients at the highest end of the luxury travel market. Its network includes travel decision-makers who design trips for UHNW individuals.
The supplier collective includes brands such as AMAN, Orient Express, Windows to Japan, The Datai, Domaine Louise and Tangile Malamala Collection.
Ultra expands its global luxury travel network
Ultra is the invitation-only flagship event of Private Luxury Events. Organisers select participating buyers and brands based on their role and influence within luxury travel.
The event has sold out each year since its first edition. It has also continued to move between destinations with growing relevance to high-end travel.
Private Luxury Events has facilitated more than one million one-to-one meetings over more than a decade. Its portfolio spans more than 200 events in over 90 countries.
With Ultra Thailand 2027, the organisation will bring that network to Bangkok for the first time. For Thailand’s tourism sector, the event will also provide a platform to strengthen links with the international ultra-luxury travel trade.
