Travel Madness Expo 2026 opens in Manila

Travel Madness Expo 2026 opens in Manila from 10 to 12 July, bringing together 179 exhibitors, airline partners,  tourism boards and  travel suppliers.

Travel Madness Expo 2026 opens on 10 July at the SMX Convention Center Manila, bringing together travel suppliers, tourism boards, airlines and financial partners for a three-day marketplace.

The event will run until 12 July across Halls 1 to 4. It returns as one of the Philippines’ major mid-year travel and trade fairs, with 179 exhibitors from the local and international travel industry.

This year’s edition carries the theme “Where Every Journey Tells a Story—From Madness to Memories”. It also reflects a shift in the Filipino travel market, as demand moves beyond short-term “revenge travel” towards more intentional and year-round trip planning.

For the travel trade, the event creates a face-to-face platform for bookings, destination promotion and consumer engagement. Moreover, it supports efforts to distribute demand beyond the usual summer and holiday periods.

Travel Madness Expo 2026 will feature airlines, tourism offices, hotels, resorts, travel agencies, cruise lines and travel service providers. New participating destinations include Georgia, Czech Tourism and Papua New Guinea. Returning international partners include Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Malaysia and Guam.

Airline and destination partnerships

Malaysia Airlines serves as the Official Airline Partner, while Philippine Airlines serves as the National Airline Partner. Their participation supports the expo’s focus on both international connectivity and domestic travel opportunities.

The Department of Tourism’s “Discover More to Love” campaign will also feature during the event. Through this link, the expo will promote established destinations and emerging locations across the Philippines.

Organisers also expect strong interest in domestic hotels and resorts, as travel suppliers present event-only rates, bundled packages and flexible travel options. Therefore, the expo continues to function as a direct sales channel for both consumers and accredited travel agencies.

According to the organisers, many offers available on the expo floor will not be available through standard online booking channels. This gives travel agencies and suppliers an opportunity to highlight curated itineraries, destination knowledge and in-person planning support.

Metrobank is the main financial partner for Travel Madness Expo 2026. Eligible cardholders can access free admission through a dedicated lane, while selected cardholders can enter the Travel Preview Sale from 9:00 to 11:00 on 10 July.

Consumer access and trade relevance

The expo will open to the general public at 11:00 on 10 July. It will then run from 10:00 to 19:00 on 11 and 12 July.

General admission is priced at PHP 100. Students, senior citizens, and persons with disabilities can access discounted tickets priced at PHP 70.

Metrobank cardholders will also have access to selected financial solutions during the event. These include instalment options and a “Book Now, Pay Later” programme for eligible purchases.

For travel suppliers, the event arrives at a time when consumers continue to balance travel demand with higher trip costs. As a result, bundled offers, flexible payments and expert trip planning remain important tools for conversion.

Travel Madness Expo 2026 also highlights the continued role of travel fairs in the Philippines. While digital booking channels remain important, physical marketplaces still allow suppliers to build trust, explain products and close more complex itineraries.

Through its 2026 edition, the expo aims to support both outbound and domestic travel demand. It also gives tourism stakeholders a mid-year platform to promote year-round journeys, cultural experiences and destinations beyond traditional peak travel periods.
