Hilton announces exclusive agreement with YOTEL

Hilton and YOTEL enter an exclusive agreement, enhancing Hilton’s portfolio in the lifestyle segment with YOTEL’s innovative, tech-driven hotels.

MCLEAN, VA. and LONDON – Hilton has announced an exclusive agreement with YOTEL to expand its global portfolio in the growing lifestyle segment. This partnership will integrate YOTEL’s innovative, design-led hotels into Hilton’s global distribution system, providing a new, efficient option for travelers in key urban markets.

The YOTEL brand, known for its smart, tech-enabled room designs, will remain independently managed while expanding its portfolio across 10 countries. The agreement allows YOTEL to grow its presence with a target of tripling its number of properties in the coming years.

As part of the agreement, YOTEL will be the first brand to join the newly established Select by Hilton. This sub-brand is designed to offer high-quality hotels that retain their unique identities, while benefiting from Hilton’s global distribution, technology platforms, and the Hilton Honors loyalty program.

Founded in London in 2007, YOTEL has gained recognition for its efficient and modern hotels, featuring innovative designs like the YOTEL SmartBed, which transforms from a flatbed to a sofa with the touch of a button, and tech-forward amenities such as automated luggage storage. YOTEL operates properties in major cities like New York, Tokyo, and Singapore.

Christian Charnaux, executive vice president and chief development officer at Hilton, highlighted the strategic nature of the partnership, stating,“The addition of YOTEL to Hilton’s network is the latest example of our commitment to capital efficient growth… while preserving what makes the brand unique.”

Phil Andreopoulos, CEO of YOTEL, emphasized that the partnership provides access to Hilton’s unmatched global distribution and loyalty scale, allowing YOTEL to expand without altering its brand identity. “What changes for YOTEL is access – not identity – in a capital-light, and scalable way.”

Once integrated into Hilton’s network, Hilton Honors members staying at participating YOTEL properties will gain access to exclusive benefits, including contactless technology and instant perks through the Hilton Honors app.
