This innovation reinforces the hotel’s long-term commitment to innovation, sustainability, and the booming Thai MICE industry

The Athenee Hotel, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Bangkok announced its investment of around THB10 million in a state-of-the-art LED screen system.
Essentially the largest system of its kind installed within any hotel ballroom in Bangkok, this innovation reinforces the hotel’s long-term commitment to innovation, sustainability, and the booming Thai MICE industry.
According to hotel general manager Blair Fowler: “This strategic investment reflects our confidence in Bangkok’s continued growth as a regional events hub. Today’s global planners expect world-class production standards within premium hospitality settings. Our LED infrastructure enables us to meet those expectations while improving operational efficiency and sustainability.”

Events reimagined
Installed in both the Crystal Hall Ballroom and the Grand Hall Ballroom, the new LED screens extend up to 27 metres wide and five metres high, transforming traditional ballroom staging into a production-ready visual platform capable of hosting international conferences, corporate summits, large-scale product launches, and immersive brand activations.
Beyond visual scale, the LED installation delivers measurable environmental benefits as, compared to conventional projection systems and physical stage backdrops, LED technology significantly reduces energy consumption and eliminates the need for disposable printed panels, vinyl installations, and temporary scenic constructions.
Event content can be fully digital, reusable, and adaptable in real time, lowering material waste and post-event disposal.
The fine-pitch P2.6 system delivers ultra-high-definition clarity at 800 nits of brightness, optimized specifically for ballroom lighting conditions.
Three screen configurations are available at 9 metres, 18 metres, and 27 metres in width, allowing scalable production tailored to event requirements, improving cost efficiency for organizers while minimising unnecessary staging infrastructure.
At the same time, state-of-the-art video processing supports ultra-wide scaling, high-resolution playback, and multiple HDMI 2.0 inputs, ensuring seamless integration for complex, multi-source productions.
The LED screen is movable and allows organizers to resize, reposition, or split configurations to match agenda formats and staging concepts.
Raising the bar for premium hospitality and MICE in the Thai capital
The Athenee is one of Thailand’s leading MICE hotels, with 30 meeting rooms available in Bangkok’s city center.
With capacity for over 1,500 guests in the Crystal Hall Ballroom and 1,200 guests in the Grand Hall Ballroom, the hotel now combines heritage prestige with technical capabilities typically associated with convention centres, offering a competitive advantage within the luxury hospitality sector.
As international business events rebound and brands prioritize immersive storytelling, this investment positions the hotel at the forefront of Bangkok’s high-end MICE market.
