Resorts World Bimini debuts final addition to Fisherman’s Village

Genting Group unveils Fisherman’s Village, an open-air, island-inspired shopping center at Resorts World Bimini, enhancing the retail and dining experience for cruise port visitors.

Genting Group announce the completion of its open-air, island-inspired shopping center at Fisherman’s Village, a marina and marketplace just steps away from the lobby of Resorts World Bimini, and a short stroll or tram ride from the Resorts World Bimini Cruise Port. The port, which opened in the summer of 2021, has since welcomed more than one million passengers with cruise ships arriving on a daily basis. Resorts World Bimini saw the need for a central hub for shopping and gathering therefore answered that call with another retail addition this month branded Rainbow Reef.
Following the completion of the cruise port, which welcomes the likes of Carnival Cruise line, Celebrity Cruises, Royal Caribbean, Virgin Voyages, Holland America, Norwegian Cruise Line and MSC Cruises, an influx of passengers lead to the opportunity to meet demand for a premier, and authentic shopping experience when in Bimini. Subsequently, Fisherman’s Village expanded its reef themed retail offerings, which included Coralds and Hidden Treasure, and by 2023 six additional boutiques opened their doors – Beach Essentials, Reef, Home Reef, Reef Fit, Splash and Elephant Gem. Recently two stores – Reef Joint and most recently Rainbow Reef have joined the line up.
Each store is unique and throughout the boutiques, visitors will find an assortment of homegoods, athleisure wear, athletic goods, jewelry, women’s clothing, resort wear, and essential items. At the center of it all is The Healing Hole, serving Bahamian cuisine and an extensive list of specialty island cocktail drinks with live music daily. Guests and visitors can now enjoy island shopping, dining experience and create lasting memories – as well as find unique and authentic items to bring home as reminders of a visit to Bimini. The village is rounded out by a marina with 136 floating boat slips and a second dining establishment, Amicci’s Pizzeria & Gelateria.

“Fisherman’s Village has been carefully curated to provide a unique and elevated shopping experience for all visitors, whether staying at our resort or visiting via cruise,” said Robert DeSalvio, President of Genting Americas East, a regional division of the global corporation that owns the resort. “The boutiques at Fisherman’s Village are named for our love and respect for Bimini’s vast marine life, which brings visitors near and far to discover our corner of the world. We hope for all who come to Bimini to find a feeling of comfort and enjoyment at Fisherman’s Village.
Fisherman’s Village can be accessed via complimentary trolley that runs to and from the cruise port every 10-15 minutes. For visitors traveling via private boat, Fisherman’s Village accommodates vessels up to 128 feet in length.
