For the past three years, Mr. Kalam has served as Resident Manager at HANSA, where he played a pivotal role in elevating the hotel’s positive image, quality and emotional connection with the guests by ensuring exceptional services. Mr. Kalam brings over 20 years of progressive hospitality experience to his new role as General Manager. His hospitality career began at Royal Park Residence, where he quickly rose through the ranks, starting in Reservations at Dhaka Regency Hotel. He meticulously honed his guest service skills, learning the intricacies of ensuring a seamless reservation process. This experience proved invaluable as he transitioned to Front Desk Manager at The Westin Dhaka, where he thrived under pressure, adeptly handling guest inquiries and resolving issues promptly. His experience is further bolstered by his training in revenue management at Marriott International. Mr. Kalam’s dedication to operational efficiency was evident during his time as Operations Manager at HANSA, where he streamlined processes and ensured the smooth running of all departments. These comprehensive experiences, coupled with his success at The Westin Dhaka, have equipped Mr. Kalam with a deep understanding of every facet of hotel operations, from the initial guest contact to the financial health of the establishment.
