Hong Kong Airlines to extend one-stop intermodal service to HZMB Zhuhai Port

Hong Kong Airlines and Chu Kong Passenger Transport have been providing passengers with convenient sea-to-air and air-to-sea intermodal codeshare services since the launch of their partnership in 2022. This successful initiative has simplified travel procedures and significantly enhanced passenger experience.

Hong Kong Airlines introduces an enhanced version of the “Leisure Pass” to further expand travel options for passengers. This upgrade connects the Hong Kong International Airport with seven major ferry ports and one cross-border control point in the Greater Bay Area, including Shenzhen Shekou, Shenzhen Fuyong (Shenzhen Airport), Guangzhou Lianhuashan, Guangzhou Nansha, Zhongshan, Dongguan Humen, and the Zhuhai Port of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge (HZMB). Passengers can now enjoy “one-stop” booking for air, ferry and bus tickets through the Hong Kong Airlines website and designated travel agents in Mainland China, enabling seamless access between the Greater Bay Area and Hong Kong Airlines’ destinations.

The “Leisure Pass” codeshare service radiates throughout the entire Greater Bay Area from the Hong Kong International Airport to provide fast and convenient sea-to-air, air-to-sea, bridge-to-air and air-to-bridge transfer services for cross-border travellers in the region. The service minimises travel time, with ferry journeys taking less than two hours between the ports covered by the service and Hong Kong International Airport’s SkyPier. The newly added HZMB Zhuhai Port also offers more flexible land border crossing options.

Leisure Pass holders are exempted from the Hong Kong International Airport Air Passenger Departure Tax (APDT) and can enjoy one-stop check-in and baggage check-through services at their departing ferry or land ports in the Greater Bay Area before boarding the high-speed ferries or cross-border buses to Hong Kong International Airport’s SkyPier. They can then directly step onboard Hong Kong Airlines flights and enjoy the journey to their final destinations, without needing to undergo additional immigration and customs clearances, or check-in procedures at the airport terminal.

Hong Kong Airlines is committed to optimising its services and enhancing the passenger travel experience. The new “Leisure Pass” codeshare service not only facilitates travel for business travellers but also attracts more passengers from the Greater Bay Area and the region to use Hong Kong International Airport as a transit hub.
