Air India adds fourth daily Delhi – London flight for the winter

Air India expands UK network with a fourth daily Delhi–London flight and reinstated services across key UK destinations.

Air India has announced a major expansion of its operations to the United Kingdom as part of its Northern Winter 2025 schedule, introducing a fourth daily flight between Delhi and London (Heathrow) effective 26 October 2025.

The additional frequency increases the airline’s services on the Delhi–London route from 24 to 28 flights per week, adding 1,196 seats each way per week. All flights on this high-demand route will be operated using Air India’s new Airbus A350-900 and Boeing 787-9 aircraft.

New Air India experience on all Delhi–London flights

With the new schedule, Air India will operate two daily flights using the Airbus A350-900 and two using the Boeing 787-9, ensuring consistency in its premium cabin offerings. Both aircraft types feature three cabin classes — Business Class, Premium Economy, and Economy Class — equipped with the airline’s latest products and amenities.

An elevated travel experience

Air India highlighted that its enhanced onboard and ground services have contributed to a strong customer response, with its Net Promoter Score (NPS) averaging 47 points monthly, and even higher scores between 50 and 60 points for its Business Class and Premium Economy cabins on the A350-900.

Optimisation of UK route network

The Northern Winter schedule also includes adjustments and reinstatements across other UK routes:

  • Mumbai–London (Heathrow): Continues double daily (14x weekly).
  • Bengaluru–London (Heathrow): Restored to 7x weekly, following the reinstatement of three curtailed flights.
  • Ahmedabad–London (Gatwick): Returns to Gatwick (3x weekly) after temporary relocation to Heathrow.
  • Amritsar–London (Gatwick): Restored to 3x weekly.
  • Delhi–Birmingham: Restored to 3x weekly.
