Etihad and Vietnam Airlines launch a new codeshare and frequent-flyer partnership, expanding connectivity and travel options between the UAE and Vietnam.
Etihad Airways and Vietnam Airlines are strengthening their cooperation with the launch of a new codeshare partnership that expands travel options between the United Arab Emirates and Vietnam. The agreement supports Etihad’s recently introduced service between Abu Dhabi and Hanoi, enhancing regional and international connectivity for both carriers.
Under the new codeshare, Etihad guests gain seamless access to key domestic destinations across Vietnam, as well as popular points throughout Asia, with a single ticket, one check-in process, and automatic baggage transfer. Abu Dhabi becomes an efficient hub linking Vietnam with the Middle East, Europe, and Africa.

The codeshare will be implemented progressively. Vietnam Airlines passengers will gain access to six destinations beyond Abu Dhabi—Athens, Addis Ababa, Bahrain, Muscat, Cairo, and Istanbul—extending their reach across the Middle East, Europe, and Africa through Etihad’s global network.
Etihad and Vietnam Airlines already collaborate through a frequent-flyer partnership launched in July 2025, allowing Etihad Guest and Lotusmiles members to earn and redeem miles across both networks. The expanded cooperation further strengthens the strategic ties between the two carriers and enhances the travel experience for passengers across both regions.
