
Air India Express has unveiled its new Boeing 737-8 cabin and confirmed a 25% network growth for Winter 2025, with new domestic and international routes from key hubs.
Air India Express expands Winter 2025 schedule as the airline continues its fleet and network transformation. The latest Boeing 737-8 aircraft, with a refreshed cabin interior, was showcased in Mumbai ahead of its entry into service.
The cabin upgrade focuses on comfort and digital convenience. The aircraft features 189 Collins Aerospace seats with synthetic leather covers, better padding and more legroom. USB-C charging ports are available at every seat. A new lighting system creates a warmer atmosphere, supported by modern carpets and Boeing Sky Interior design. Ovens have been installed onboard to support a wider hot meal menu.
Air India Express expands Winter 2025 operations with over 2,700 weekly domestic flights and more than 780 weekly short-haul international flights. This represents 25% network growth year-on-year. The airline will add 48 new domestic routes and 10 new international routes this winter.
Hub operations are being strengthened in Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru. These three airports are expected to reach around 74% of total domestic departures by November 2025. Bengaluru is a key focus, with expanded short-haul international connections.
New domestic routes include:
Agartala–Bagdogra, Ahmedabad–Goa, Amritsar–Delhi, Bhubaneswar–Kochi, Bhubaneswar–Lucknow, Bengaluru–Jodhpur, Bengaluru–Srinagar, Bengaluru–Udaipur, Delhi–Goa, Delhi–Gwalior, Delhi–Imphal, Delhi–Port Blair, Delhi–Jodhpur, Delhi–Udaipur, Goa–Indore, Imphal–Bagdogra, Lucknow–Pune.
New international routes include:
Bengaluru–Bangkok, Bengaluru–Jeddah, Bengaluru–Kuwait, Bengaluru–Riyadh, Jeddah–Lucknow, Lucknow–Riyadh.
Capacity from Bengaluru has grown significantly. Domestic departures increased from 63 to 77. Delhi also expanded from 42 to 60 domestic departures per day. The airline plans to reach a 40% capacity share at Navi Mumbai and Bengaluru as hub consolidation progresses.
Food service is also evolving as Air India Express expands Winter 2025. The refreshed Gourmair menu features new hot meals, salads and celebration cakes available for pre-order. Options include Paneer Makhani, Hakka Noodles with Veg Manchurian, Cheddar & Chives Omelette, salads and an improved Kebab Platter.
The airline continues its brand repositioning with the “Xplore More, Xpress More” campaign. The campaign highlights Air India Express’ identity as affordable yet experience-focused, supported by digital engagement and hot meals on board.
