Hotel Equities promotes three, enhancing its Business and Talent Development teams, focusing on strategic growth and nurturing talent.
Hotel Equities announced promotions within its Business Development and Talent Development disciplines. These three promotions highlight Hotel Equities’ dedication to developing a strong support team for its expanding portfolio by recognizing and nurturing exceptional talent.
Jack Meakin has been promoted to Vice President of Business Development where he helps to oversee the company’s business development strategy on Midwest/East Coast markets, focusing on expanding market reach and cultivating impactful partnerships. In this role, he will be responsible for identifying new opportunities for growth, enhancing owner relations, and delivering recommendations to enhance speed to market. Meakin started with Hotel Equities in 2018 as part of the company’s Manager in Training (“MIT”) program where he demonstrated dedication and expertise through hands-on experience. In his former role as Regional Director of Business Development, Meakin has played a pivotal role in driving portfolio growth and mentoring next-generation hoteliers for HE’s MIT program. In his new role, Meakin is poised to directly influence the strategic direction and accelerate the overall growth trajectory of the company.
Alexis Stevens has been promoted to Director of Talent Development. Stevens joined HE in 2013 as a front desk associate and has since earned positions of increased responsibility, including General Manager and Talent Development Manager. Her extensive experience at all operational levels uniquely positions her to lead learning and development for aspiring professionals. In addition to being a graduate of HE’s Management Development Program (MDP) herself, since joining the Talent team in July 2021, Stevens has overseen and enhanced enterprise-wide talent development programs to better serve the growing organization. She has also masterfully refined the college/university recruitment and placement process to maximize opportunities for each candidate. In her new expanded role, Stevens now serves as a department head with international responsibility.
“I am delighted to announce Lexy’s well-deserved promotion to Director of Talent Development,” said Nancy Curtin Morris, Senior Vice President of Talent at HE. “She began her career with us as a front desk associate and her rise through the ranks is a testament to her exceptional leadership and deep operational understanding. That experience, coupled with her success in enhancing our training programs beginning with the recruitment processes, makes her the ideal leader for our talent development initiatives. Lexy will continue to drive our talent efforts globally, ensuring we attract and develop top talent.”
Brody Aarhaus has been promoted to Regional Director of Business Development for the Southeast US region. Since joining the Business Development team in 2022 from HE’s MIT program, Aarhaus has excelled in enhancing business development processes and client communication. His efforts in streamlining deal flow, pipeline reports, consistently identifying areas for improvement and implementing effective solutions have markedly increased the team’s productivity. In his new position, Aarhaus will work directly with Jack Meakin to identify new business opportunities, foster partnerships, and expand HE’s market presence in the Southeast. His focus on process improvement and efficiency will be instrumental in his expanded role. Aarhaus is also a graduate of HE’s MIT program.
“I am so proud to announce the promotions within our business development team,” said Joe Reardon, Chief Development Officer at HE. “Their dedication, hard work and commitment to excellence has been instrumental in driving our growth and success to date. We look forward to seeing them thrive in their new roles and continue to contribute to our team’s mission of delivering outstanding value to our stakeholders and partners.”
