The partnership establishes Crowne Plaza Dhaka Gulshan as the Official Hospitality Partner of the France-Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce & Industry (CCIFB) in Dhaka, Bangladesh, creating opportunities for business networking, trade collaboration and international engagement.
Crowne Plaza Dhaka Gulshan, an IHG hotel and an enterprise of Doreen Hotels and Resorts Limited, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the France-Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce & Industry (CCIFB), establishing the hotel as the Official Hospitality Partner of the France-Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce & Industry in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
The MoU signing brought together distinguished representatives from the France-Bangladesh business community, industry leaders and senior stakeholders, marking an important step towards strengthening collaboration between the hospitality and business communities in Bangladesh.
The occasion was graced by Mr. Firoze Asad, Senior Group Advisor and Board Member, Doreen, along with Dr. Md. Ershad Hussain Rana, President, France-Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce & Industry; Mr. Syed Sadat Ahmed, Director, CCIFB Board; Mr. Arif Rahman, Director, CCIFB Board; Mr. Salimul Haque Essa, Director, CCIFB Board; Mr. Mohammad Rashed, Director, CCIFB Board; and Ms. Lulu Mahfuza, Executive Director, CCIFB. The partnership was established on behalf of Crowne Plaza Dhaka Gulshan, represented in the agreement by Mr. Karthi VK, General Manager, Crowne Plaza Dhaka Gulshan.
The partnership creates greater opportunities to support business delegations, corporate engagements, conferences, meetings, networking sessions, trade-related activities and other professional events hosted in Dhaka. It also reinforces Crowne Plaza Dhaka Gulshan’s role as a platform for international business collaboration, bringing together corporate leaders and organizations through thoughtfully curated hospitality experiences.
Under the partnership, CCIFB members and eligible representatives will have access to a range of preferential benefits at Crowne Plaza Dhaka Gulshan, including special corporate accommodation rates, complimentary enrolment in IHG One Rewards, discounts on non-alcoholic food and beverages, swimming pool and gym memberships, laundry services and airport transportation. Members will also benefit from preferential rates on banquet and meeting facilities, special arrangements for CCIFB Members’ Nights and networking events, and discounts on published banquet menu prices.
The agreement also provides opportunities for business networking and trade collaboration initiatives, enabling CCIFB members to utilize Crowne Plaza Dhaka Gulshan for trade delegations, strategic roadshows, bespoke exhibitions, receptions and other professional gatherings. Both organizations may further explore collaborative cultural initiatives, including curated food festivals and special events that bring together members of the business and international communities.
Through the agreement, the France-Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce & Industry will promote the hospitality facilities, services and preferential benefits available at Crowne Plaza Dhaka Gulshan through its appropriate communication channels, networking activities, events, website and social media platforms. CCIFB will also recommend the hotel to its members, visiting business delegations, corporate representatives and conference participants for accommodation, meetings, conferences, receptions, business networking events and other suitable engagements.
The partnership extends beyond accommodation and hospitality services, reflecting a shared commitment to facilitating business connections and supporting stronger engagement between France and Bangladesh. By combining the Chamber’s role in promoting bilateral trade and investment with Crowne Plaza Dhaka Gulshan’s hospitality, dining, meeting and event facilities, the collaboration aims to create a welcoming environment for professional exchanges and international business activities in Dhaka.
The France-Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce & Industry (CCIFB) is a non-profit, self-financed organization established in 1996 to facilitate, support and develop trade and investment between France and Bangladesh. The Chamber serves French companies operating in Bangladesh and Bangladeshi companies representing French businesses as agents, distributors and partners. It also works in close collaboration with the French Embassy and the French Economic Department in Bangladesh.
Through the agreement, the France-Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce & Industry will recognize Crowne Plaza Dhaka Gulshan as its Official Hospitality Partner in Dhaka, Bangladesh, and promote the hotel’s facilities and preferential arrangements to its members and relevant business networks.
The MoU is effective from the date of signing and remains valid until 31 December 2027, providing a framework for continued collaboration between the two organizations.
