Hotel Sarina Dhaka Appoints Patrick Beck as General Manager

Hotel Sarina Dhaka is delighted to announce the appointment of Mr. Patrick Beck as its new General Manager, bringing more than three decades of international hospitality leadership to one of Bangladesh’s premier hospitality addresses.

A French hospitality veteran, Mr. Beck began his career as Hotel Manager at the Four Seasons Hotel in San Francisco before going on to lead luxury hotels and resorts across North America, Europe, Africa, Asia and the Caribbean. Over the past 18 years, he has held General Manager positions at nine international properties, including TUI BLUE Beach Resort & Spa in Curaçao, Sea Cliff Resort & Spa in Zanzibar, Hotel Ciputra World Surabaya, Discovery Kartika Plaza Hotel in Bali, and Hotel Borobudur Jakarta a 695-room flagship property frequently entrusted with hosting Indonesia’s Presidency and visiting international delegations. Most recently, he led the pre-opening of TUI BLUE’s 400-room beachfront resort in Curaçao, adding large-scale project and launch experience to an already wide-ranging portfolio.

What sets Mr. Beck apart is a career that began in the kitchen rather than the front office. A Certified Executive Chef trained with the American Culinary Federation, he went on to direct food production and operations for Lenôtre (Accor Group) in France, overseeing more than 6,000 meals a day across restaurants, banquets and international events while leading a team of 485 chefs, including eleven Meilleur Ouvrier de France titleholders, France’s highest culinary distinction before taking on the Managing Directorship of Lenôtre’s Egypt franchise. Backed by ISO-9001 and HACCP food-safety certifications and a proven record building wedding and banquet business at resorts in Zanzibar and Bali, this rare, hands-on command of food and beverage operations speaks directly to Hotel Sarina Dhaka’s five F&B outlets: Summerfields, Amrit, Risotto, Street 17 Café and Elite Club.

That expertise arrives at a timely moment for Bangladesh’s hospitality industry. Dhaka’s hotel landscape has grown steadily more competitive as major international brands expand their footprint, corporate and diplomatic travel rises, and the city’s MICE segment continues to gather pace. Dining and banquet business, in particular, has become one of the most significant revenue drivers for Dhaka’s hotels, with weddings, festive buffets and corporate events increasingly won on the strength of culinary quality and guest experience. It is exactly this combination international operational discipline paired with genuine F&B and banquet expertise that positions Mr. Beck to sharpen Hotel Sarina Dhaka’s competitive edge and grow revenue across its dining outlets and events business.

Mr. Beck also brings Franklin Covey leadership certification earned in both Indonesia and the Philippines, crisis management training, and speaks English, French and Spanish an asset for a hotel serving Dhaka’s diverse corporate, diplomatic and leisure guests. Commenting on the appointment, Hotel Sarina Dhaka expressed confidence that his international expertise and hands-on F&B leadership will strengthen the hotel’s commercial performance, elevate guest experience across all outlets, and reinforce its position as one of Bangladesh’s premier luxury hospitality destinations.

The entire team at Hotel Sarina Dhaka warmly welcomes Mr. Patrick Beck and looks forward to a new chapter of culinary excellence, exceptional service and continued growth under his leadership.
