Celebrating 25 years of culinary excellence, Tommy Miah’s Hospitality Management Institute (TMHMI) has announced the “Home Chefs Competition 2026 – Dhaka,” aiming to provide a platform for passionate home cooks to showcase their culinary talents and become recognised culinary entrepreneurs.
The announcement was made at an event held on Monday at Days Hotel Dhaka in Baridhara, attended by hospitality professionals, food enthusiasts, and industry stakeholders.
Renowned British Bangladeshi celebrity chef Tommy Miah said the initiative seeks to encourage aspiring chefs by offering professional exposure, mentorship, and opportunities to transform home-based cooking skills into business ventures.
Organisers said winners of the competition will receive awards, while all participants will be provided certificates and professional guidance to help launch their own food delivery services.
They added that the competition is expected to inspire a new generation of culinary entrepreneurs and contribute to the development of Bangladesh’s hospitality and food industry.
The organisers also informed that participation slots are limited and interested applicants have been encouraged to register early to secure their place in the competition.
