SATA 2025: Evaluations Conclude in the Maldives as Final Destination

The South Asian Travel Awards (SATA) 2025 is wrapping up its final round of evaluations in the Maldives, with sessions being held at the Hulhule Island Hotel. This marks the conclusion of a months-long assessment process conducted by a distinguished multinational jury.

Since May, the jury has traveled across South Asia—conducting evaluations in Colombo, Bengaluru, New Delhi, Kathmandu, Paro, and Dhaka—before reaching the Maldives for the final leg. The rigorous process reflects SATA’s commitment to recognizing true excellence in the region’s hospitality sector.

With the endorsement of over 18 tourism organizations and tourism boards, SATA remains unique as the only travel award in the region that does not charge for participation, evaluation, or winning.

The independent jury evaluates nominated properties and services on-site, ensuring fairness and credibility in selecting South Asia’s finest in tourism and hospitality.

The prestigious 9th South Asian Travel Awards Gala is scheduled to be held in Sri Lanka in September 2025, where the winners will be officially announced and celebrated.
