Until last year Paul Boardman and his wife, Marisol, spent most of their time in South America running intrepid 4×4 tours with Peru Safari.

Now, after Covid killed the business, their explorations of Cusco, Lima and Lake Titicaca have been replaced with horse riding trips to the Black Mountains and boat rides to see dolphins, run by their new company Celtic Routes. Rather than Andean condors and alpacas, travellers will see otters, golden eagles and ospreys.
