Here are the hotels where Thailand will pay 40% of the bill

A hastily built website listing the accommodations, restaurants and tourist attractions Thai travelers can get rebates for visiting is now online.

Participating vendors are listed by province on the government’s Wetraveltogether website, venues which Thai nationals 20 and up can get partial reimbursement for visiting as part of a travel stimulus program beginning Wednesday and ending in October.

The site feels very beta and mostly consists of hotels with few entries for restaurants and tourist attractions. Users have to either find the hotel websites or Agoda listings to book.

Business owners who want their venues to participate can still apply there.

Registration for travelers to participate will become available on Wednesday. They must have accounts at Krungthai Bank and download its Pocket Money app.

The stimulus program covers up to 40% of up to THB3,000 per night of up to five nights at hotels on a single trip outside one’s home province. The travel subsidy covers only domestic air travel capped at THB1,000 and now excludes interprovincial buses and car rentals as initially announced.

The THB22.4 billion program is available on a first-come, first-served basis until the funds are depleted.
