The union representing Walt Disney World workers announced that it has reached an agreement with the company regarding benefits and safety protocols for employees upon their return to work.

The announcement was made in a Facebook post by the Services Trade Council Union on Thursday.Advertisement

The union said the agreement provides safety protections and benefits regarding a return to work.

Among the agreements reached was an assurance that anyone who contracts COVID-19 will have paid time off to quarantine and training for employees on how to conduct self-assessments regarding symptoms of COVID-19 at home.

Disney will also provide a thermometer to anyone who requests one and workers who have COVID-19 symptoms can call in free of attendance discipline, the post said.

Additional safety procedures put in place by the company include mandatory masks for guests and workers. Each worker will be provided three masks.

The post also said guest temperature checks will be conducted at the parks.

Disney World has been closed since mid-March. Disney Springs is set to reopen next week, but it’s unclear when the theme parks will open again.
