Prime Minister Sk. Hasina has ordered concerned authority not to build high establishment at the sea beach of Cox’s Bazar. She said, “We will not allow construction of high-rise establishment along the sea as it will harm the natural beauty of Cox’s Bazar.” while observing three special Tourism Park’s (Special Tourism Park) Master Plan at Prime Minister’s Office at Tejgaon (PMO) gave this order.

Bangladesh Economic Zone Authority has given the responsibility to establish eco-tourism Park at Sonadia of Moheshkhali, at Teknaf Upazilla Naf Tourism Park (NAF) and Sabrang Tourism Park.

Prime Minister urged the authority to build the establishment which can face earth-quake, cyclone and tidal bore and also to keep unchanged the natural beauty of the area.

Prime Minister ordered the authority to build the Sabrang Tourism Park only for foreigners.

Regarding Naf Tourism Park Sk. Hasina ordered concerned authority to complete the work by next three years.

To establish country’s 1st Eco-tourism Park at Sonadia of the country BEZA has already appointed Mahindra Consulting Engineers and Devcon Consultants Limited as consultants. Both the firms has assured Prime Minister that by next 24 months tourists can visit this park and it will take nine years to give full beauty to this park.
