Guests will be picked up at Florence or Pisa Airports, or, local train station and will arrive at the villa for check-in and relaxing views of the Chianti Hillside.
This evening starts with a Prosecco Welcome Party and orientation followed by Chef Elisa’s Hillside Al Fresco dinner featuring Farm-to-Table dishes and specialties. There will be a wine presentation and wine tasting paired with the chef’s dinner, from the Villa Pozzo’s vineyards.
Today’s San Gimignano activities are fun & delicious! You’ll take an authentic Tuscan 4-course Cooking Class at an outdoor cooking school where you learn lots of techniques. The menu includes Baking Bread, Appetizer, Fresh Pasta with a sauce, entree, and dessert. There will be a walking, guided tour of San Gimignano with free time.
Then you’ll have a wine tasting at a San Gimignano, family-run, organic winery where they have a passion for country life and wine and a beautiful view of the Towers of San Gimignano.
Today we start in the Chianti Classico countryside in one of the most famous wine-growing areas in the world. In a hilltop hamlet in Greve, we will have a wine cellar and vineyard tour followed by a wine tasting with some local treats. Next, we enjoy a guided walking tour of the medieval town of Lucca. Discover the birthplace of Puccini and visit the cathedral, piazza and San Michele Square.
Dinner will follow, full of local specialties and wine.
We will enjoy a walking tour of Pisa, discovering the magnificent Miracle Fields including the hidden treasures of the Pisa City Center; Cavalieri Square, Borgo Stretto, and Chiesa della Spina.
Then we are off to Lajatico, to the town of the world renown tenor, Andrea Bocelli. First, we see his outdoor amphitheater, Teatro del Silenzio. Next we go to the Bocelli Officine where Andrea’s mom (Eli Bocelli) will offer a view of the singer’s private museum. After we will have a meal by the Bocelli’s chef, paired with a Bocelli Wine Tasting which will be hosted by the Bocelli family.
Enjoy a 3-hour guided walking tour of Florence city centre discovering all the main attractions of this unique Unesco World Heritage Site. This walking tour itinerary allows you to see all of the main sights and some of the smaller hidden places in between what is considered the heart of the historical city center of Florence. The tour includes Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, Gate of Paradise, Brunelleschi’s Dome, Dante’s house, Signoria Square with the replica of David, Ponte Vecchio, Uffizi Square, Republic Square, Via Tornabuoni. Next there will be a visit to The Accademia to view and learn about the Statue of David of Michelangelo. After free time, we will enjoy a wine tasting and pairing class with a specialty dinner and presentation by the owner and wine expert.
Explore the historic center of Montepulciano’s old city on a guided tour followed by a scenic drive to Montalcino where we visit the Abbey Sant’Antimo.
After we head to a Brunello winery for a wine production tour followed by an outdoor wine tasting. Learn why this Sangiovese grape is special and enjoy an elegant tasting while viewing the vineyards where the wine is grown.
After, we return to our villa where our Farewell Chef’s Dinner will be served.
Guests will check-out and be driven to the Florence or Pisa airport or local train station.
