Radisson Blu Dhaka Water Garden recently conducted their regular fire drill this time in collaboration with the Bangladesh Fire Service and Civil Defense. Present at the fire drill were the Managing Director of Sena Hotel Developments Ltd. (SHDL) Lieutenant General Sabbir Ahmed (retd.) and the CEO of SHDL, Radisson Blu Dhaka Water Garden, Brigadier General Ridwan-Al-Mahmood along with the employees of the organization. The fire drill was led by Major Ahmed Sayed Raza (retd.), Assistant Director of Safety & Security.
The fire drill is conducted every year at the hotel in order to keep everyone aligned with the hotel’s security policies. With adherence to the commitment to guests’ safety, Radisson Blu Dhaka Water Garden is ranked as the safest hotel in Dhaka. The hotel’s strict security protocols earned it the Executive Level Certification from SafeHotels Alliance in 2019, an internationally acclaimed organization which recognizes top hotels for their safety standards.
The drill started with the ringing of the fire alarm to direct the guests and employees to the designated safety zones of the hotels. It was followed by a mock up fire extermination process and a first aid demonstrations by the hotel’s in-house medical team. These steps guide all the employee of the hotel to be prepared to face any unforeseen calamities and what steps they should take to prevent or lessen the gravity of the situation.
Finally, as a gesture of appreciation, the firemen from Bangladesh Fire Service and Civil Defense were invited for lunch at the hotel’s Spice & Rice restaurant.
