Bangladesh participates in the World Tourism Fair in London

Bangladesh participated in the World Tourism Fair in London (World Travel Market). The three-day fair was inaugurated last Monday (November 4) at the Excel Center in London.

In a stylish ribbon cutting ceremony that day, the colorful Bangladesh Pavilion was inaugurated by Syeda Muna Tasnim, Bangladesh’s High Commissioner to the United Kingdom.

Representatives of the Bangladeshi tour operators were also present along with senior officials from the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism from Bangladesh and the Bangladesh Tourism Board.

British community artists perform traditional folk dance of Bangladesh at the inauguration. At the same time, a Bangladeshi-British fashion house called ‘Laabdesh’ performed with British artists various dance, music and traditional clothing showcasing the six-season fashion of Bangladesh. Visitors to the fair enjoyed the inaugural event.

This fair was till November 6. This year 12 tour operators from Bangladesh participated in the fair jointly organized by the Bangladesh High Commission, the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism and the Bangladesh Tourism Board.
