NOVOAIR and Firefly to support each other operationally

On 17th October, NOVOAIR, a Bangladesh-based private carrier, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Firefly, a Malaysia Airlines subsidiary, at the city’s former headquarters.

Firefly is known for its pilot training and maintenance, repair and operations facilities in addition to commercial flight activities.

Under the agreement, in the areas of training, engineering, aircraft maintenance and operations, both airlines will support each other.

On behalf of their respective organizations, Mofizur Rahman, Managing Director, NOVOAIR, and Philip See Yew Jin, Chief Executive, Firefly signed the MoU. The event was also attended by high officials from both the organizations.

“Our goal is to provide passengers with better services and ensure a safe journey. We have therefore signed this MoU with Firefly for the necessary cooperation to further improve the quality of services,” said NOVOAIR’s Managing Director, Mofizur Rahman.

Philip See Yew Jin, CEO, Firefly stated, “This is a milestone for both organizations, and this agreement will surely expand the scope of cooperation between the two parties. We aim to improve the quality of service for our valued passengers through the exchange of experience between each other.”

NOVOAIR currently operates five daily flights with six ATR 72-500 aircrafts to Chattogram, Cox’s bazar, Saidpur, Jashore and one to Barishal, Rajshahi and Kolkata.
