Bangabandhu Safari Park at Giraffe gives birth male cub

A giraffe at the Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Safari Park in Gazipur has given birth a beautiful male cub on 27th August.  However, park authority published this news to media on 6th October (Sunday) due to safety of cub and its mother.

Wildlife Inspector of Bangabandhu Safari Park Sarwar Hossain Khan said 10 Giraffes bring from South Africa in 2013 at this Safari Park. 

However, a male Giraffe died on 15th January this year.  The cub appear healthy and is running around all day in the giraffe enclosure. The mother is suckling it from time to time and the park authorities are feeding them other food as well.

The newborn and the mother have been kept under constant supervision of a veterinary doctor and are being provided additional nutritional supplements outside of their regular diet of vegetables, grass and grains, added Sarwar.
