Singapore : Singapore Airlines (SIA) and Como Shambhala have launched a new health-focused in-flight menu available on select flights starting September.

Singapore : Singapore Airlines (SIA) and Como Shambhala have launched a new health-focused in-flight menu available on select flights starting September.

First and Business Class passengers will be able to enjoy the menu on select flights departing Singapore to Hong Kong, Frankfurt, London, Melbourne, Perth and Sydney. The dishes will also be available for pre-ordering through the airline’s ‘Book the Cook’ service which allows passengers travelling in First Class, Business Class and Premium Economy to pre-order main courses.

The airline said that in addition to the new health-focused dishes, it also launched a series of wellness articles in partnership with Como Shambhala this month. These articles cover topics such as meditation, breathing techniques for relaxation and body exercises suitable for periods of prolonged inactivity. They are available for download on the SIA mobile app.

Como Shambhala is a spa and wellness brand that operates hotels under its Como Hotels and Resorts arm. Its flagship property is the Bali-based Como Shambhala Estate. The group also has urban resorts in London, Miami and Bangkok.

The wellness menu available for First Class and Business Class passengers on selected flights departing Singapore this month includes Tropical Fruit Bircher Muesli, Spiced Buckwheat and Pumpkin Pancakes, Sweetcorn and Young Coconut Soup, Silken Chicken Salad, Coconut Poached Fish, Dark Chocolate and Ginger Cake and Como Shambhala Ginger Tea.

SIA’s ‘Book the Cook’ service is available until February 2020 for pre-ordering for First Class, Business Class and Premium Economy Class customers on all routes departing Singapore.

The menu for ‘Book the Cook’ includes Red Rice and Fish Porridge, Puy Lentil, Zuchinni and Ricotta Lasagne, Spiced Buckwheat and Pumpkin Pancakes, Coconut and Chia Pudding for First Class.
