Bangladesh Tourism Board held a workshop on Digital Tourism Marketing on August 5 at their office in the capital.
With the slogan ‘Making the patrons the center of what we do!’ the digital tourism marketing campaign follows the previous campaign of BTB ‘Beautiful Bangladesh’.
The workshop, attended by many stakeholders of the country’s tourism industry, included presentations on the overview of the campaign, tourism related activities and the future of ‘Beautiful Bangladesh’.
Dr. Bhubon Chandra Biswas, CEO of Bangladesh Tourism Board made the opening remarks.
Also, a group discussion was conducted to develop a list of recommendations from stakeholders on specific information and training needs for planning, tourist management, interpretation and key actions needed to carry out within the timeframes.
The digital tourism marketing aims to promote tourist attractions, tourist activities, location accessibilities, safety and security, food and accommodation, cultural history, events and celebrations etc.
