Managing Director of Sena Hotel Developments Limited, Lt. General Sabbir Ahmed (retd.), participating in the Tree Plantation drive of Radisson Blu Dhaka Water Garden.

On 1st August 2019, the management team of Radisson Blu Dhaka Water Garden and the hotel’s owning company, Sena Hotel Developments Limited (SHDL) carried out their annual tree plantation drive. Radisson Blu Dhaka is famous for its architectural landmark and gardens consisting of different types of exotic trees and plants. With firm commitment towards the environment, the hotel has been planting different types of trees in its premises since 2006.

Managing Director of Sena Hotel Developments Limited (SHDL), Lt. General Sabbir Ahmed (retd.) (sixth), CEO of SHDL, Brig. General Ridwan-Al-Mahmood (center), General Manager of Radisson Blu Dhaka, Mr. Alexander Hauesler (seventh) and the management team of RBDWG participated in this year’s Tree Plantation Drive.

As part of the ‘Think Planet Ethos’ of its Responsible Business Practices, Radisson Blu Dhaka established itself as an ecofriendly organization in Bangladesh. Guests have long since praised the hotel for its scenic beauty, tranquility and environmental consciousness.

The drive started off with the Managing Director of SHDL, Lt. General Sabbir Ahmed (retd.) planting a Mango tree near the pond. This was followed by the CEO of Sena Hotels Developments Limited, Brig. General Ridwan-Al-Mahmood (retd.) planting a Lychee tree while the General Manager of Radisson Blu Dhaka, Mr. Alexander Haeusler, planted a Starfruit plant. The other members of the management team also took part in the initiative, planting trees like Cherry Plum, Custard Apple, Gooseberry etc.
